Suffering the stroke, I had to relearn how to talk, speak, write and singing was the answer for my. It was something I actually enjoyed in the hospital as opposed to speech therapy, all I could do at that point was make siren noises… then further down the track, working with music therapists to learn to write lyrics , rap and sing. I’m certainly no @adele but I’m pretty proud of where I’ve got to thanks to @mattriks. And now it’s an outlet, a way to express myself more than ever before. All the emotions rolled into a journey, from start to finish. The first image is hard to listen to and I’ll be really honest here I’m not the same as I was before the crash versus after. (mentally and physically) and yes I do have some regrets on doing the ride. But it was a decision, that I’ve got to live with. Life moves on and I need to adapt with it. If it wasn’t for my support crew I don’t think I could have managed much… let alone completing the ride. I’m proud of myself for completing the ride and what’s ahead (noting that ‘ahead’ wasn’t all rainbows) and I’m grateful for having special people in my life. A year in reflection.
